I just wanted to see where we were and ordered a basic chemistry, the thyroid screening panel and growth factors. The cost didn't seem out of line, but I didn't really compare. The company came up with a lab near us for the blood draw and the lab results with numbers and reference ranges showed up within a week in my mailbox. I talked with the staff physician. He understood my questions and concerns(that was an odd experience) and gave some intelligent suggestions. If something is wrong, we're in the doctor's office, he's literally saved both my kid's lives. But he's utterly clueless on metabolic/allergic issues. We're keeping him anyway. Emergency medicine is what modern physicians do best and he's good at it.

Guest guest
What I've always done, is when the doc gives me the lab req, I just write on whatever extra tests I want. My doctor(s) have never gotten mad at me for doing this; not sure about yours, though! ;-) > > > Does anyone know where I can order thyroid antibodies and r T3? > > thanks, sylvia >
