Guest guest
Abby's eyes were not too off, but her ears (from nose to right ear vs. from nose to left ear) she was off by 4mm, today (final day in band), she is now only 1mm off which is " average. " I was pleased to hear of the correction! Kimry
Guest guest
Kimry, Glad to hear treatment was a success. I can't wait to see our results. Still not sure on length of time. Belinda(Indiana)
Guest guest
HI.....We had helmet adjustment and PT today. Ortho shaved off quite a bit but feels this helmet will last another couple of months. Said there still is plenty of room. I asked about cleaning with adhesive remover. He said it would work as long as it would evaporate. I will get some next week and try it. Hopefully it will reduce the smell. I also asked about measurements. He told us that it would be up to the doctor. We don't have appt until May 11. As for PT, Vince did well on tummy. He is able to push up quite high, better than last months visit. I made it a point to voice my concerns. still favors the right arm. He also seems to be tightening up and not having good rotation to left. At first, PT said he may just be righty. She seemed to be more concerned when he was sitting on floor and she held out a toy. He was unable to reach out as well on the left side. She realized he still needs help. He fell straight back and bounced off mat, no padding, he didn't have helmet on! We signed him up for early intervention on Tues. Now we are waiting for the ball to get rolling. I requested that PT fax info to First Steps. I got the feeling she did not think he needed additional PT. I said it couldn't hurt. After the session, she did feel that had not reached any new milestones since she saw him last. He is now 25% delayed. This would qualify him. We will be retuning to PT on a weekly basis, per PT request. Belinda (Indiana)
Guest guest
Hi Belinda- I'm glad you're getting involved with First Steps. Grace gets her therapy through them and they are really great to deal with. Actually, after the initial evaluations and paper-filling-out (there is a TON of paperwork) I deal almost solely with Jackie (Grace's PT) and Easter Seals/Arc. It's a great bunch of people! Hope you have as much luck with them as I have.
