He used a rubber dam, oxygen, ionizer and tested the charge on each tooth each time to determine which quadrant to work on.(Please don't ask me to explain this!) Each time I went - four times - I had a vitamin C IV either just before or just after. I have had some improvement in my health since then, we finished up about one month ago. I have not started any chelation yet. I was interested in the posts about VItamin C as a chelator. Each time I had fillings replaced and the IV I felt worse for a period of time and then better. I would recommend Dr. , he is very kind and knowledgeble. Lynette > >

What kind of doctor could do this? I was just going to go to my regular dentist who would use the porcelain fillings and have the old ones taken out. I was told by Dr. to start high dose vitamin C orally a month or so before he started removing my amalgams. He also recommended selenium and vitamin E. He suggested having the IV on the day of removal to help counteract the new exposure I would be getting even while taking precautions. I also read this in Andy Cutler's book. I was already sick and did not want to get sicker. What kind of doctor could do this? I went to a DO's office who does IV chelation among other things. I was > just going to go to my regular dentist who would use the porcelain fillings > and have the old ones taken out. I would not reccommend having your fillings replaced without taking the precautions that I mentioned in my last post. I had two done this way, one for a root canal because I didn't know any better and trusted my dentist. A month or so later I became ill with a whole host of symptoms including GI problems, vertigo and visual disturbances, wicked insomnia and adrenal insufficiency. I had no ability to concentrate , could not get anything done and felt frightened all the time. I was basically a mess. I can't think of, and nor could any of the doctors I saw, anything that would cause these problems (other than the mercury exposure on top of a mouthful of fillings, rhogam during my last pregnancy and tuna) I recently spoke with a friend who I had not seen in a while. During the course of our conversation she told me that she had had all her fillings replaced three years ago by a friend who is a dentist, without any precautions. Later she said she had a hysterectomy two years ago after having a lot of hormonal problems. I thought it an interesting chain of events. I would be curious to know just how many of our health problems could be related to heavy metal poisoning. My advice to you would be to locate a mercury free dentist and do some research before you do anything with your amalgams. I learned the hard way! IMO, yes, and try the dam as well. Sometimes the dam is so uncomfortable and untenable for the person they have to abandon it, and that can vary depending on where the amalgam removal is taking place in one's mouth, but try the dam and they can remove it and go on without if necessary. > also, just wondering if there is anything i can or should > take leading up and during and after to mitigate or minimize > any damage if some vapor gets into my system.....would i take > antioxidants....ie. Vit C? I take 3000 mg Vit C one hour before *any* dental procedure, personally, consider it a mild prophylactic against sepsis.
