Guest guest Posted January 24, 2006 Report Share Posted January 24, 2006 More than anything, I think I just need to vent. Our daughter is back at it again. We're seeing signs that when OCD rears it's ugly head, it comes back with a vengance. Her sister is sick ('s biggest fear), and of course treats her like she has the plague and she's gonna die if she even thinks about her (OCD does not understand logic)! Tonight at dinner (which we *forced* her to at least sit with us) she spent the entire time with her head between her knees bent over, disrupting our dinner with comments like, " I'm not touching anything because I know helped make dinner " (even though she didn't). Of course, then she complained that she didn't get to eat, but that's her choice. So, thanks to OCD coupled with typical adolescent behavior, she now " hates her life, hates her parents, hates her sister, and hates this week. " Not to worry, she's just venting.
