I'm not a rheumatologist, but from what your symptoms sound like, my last guess would be rheumatoid arthritis... My advice to you is to do what you are able to do, and do not push yourself too hard. I'd also wait before seing a chiropractor after talking to your physician. The reason is that for certain conditions, chiropractors may do more harm than good... Good luck, and keep us posted on what your doc said!

That's when we realize how much we do move around on the job, even if it is considered a " sedentary " job. The same thing has been going on with me. The doctors all tell me to try not to move around too much. And I said, great I have a desk job, so that means I can continue working... But then I realized how much I was really moving around, even if spending most of the day sitting down, because I would start to get contractions... BTW, my labor is still progressing, yesterday when I went to the doc's office, she told me that she could now touch the baby's head when 2 weeks ago she couldn't... My internal gut instinct tells me that I will give birth at around 35 weeks... which is in less than 5 weeks. The good news is, even if I have been very sedentary for the last few months, my total weight gain is about 23 pounds!!!

Guest guest
Sandy, Hang in there. You can get a good workout on your Total Gym, right? (I'd like to hear from you and all Total Gym owners in this group about how you like it...I'm considering getting one.) Listen to your body. You'll be back tae-boing in no time! You've done sooo well...and you can continue to do so despite this setback! I recommend chiropractors, by the way. Take good care of yourself. ;-) F sandy fields <diamoniqu-@...> wrote: original article:tae-bo_on/?start=11643 > ... at least not for awhile. > > I tried a couple of simple front knee raises. Guest guest
P.S., Sandy...It sounds like your sciatic nerve is involved (thus the pain radiating down your leg). Please don't beat yourself up over the little things like over eating for a few days. You have done so well..a few days isn't worth feeling guilty about. Get on your doc to send you for a MRI. They have the technology to see exactly what is going on..shame on the insurance companies for dragging their feet about wanting to pay for it. Knowing what I went through before they finally got around to using the technology they have really aggravated me and when I hear about other people going through the same thing over and over again it just makes me nuts...sorry. I hope they figure out what is going on with you soon. In the meantime holding off on the Tae-Bo is a good decision. I hope you are back on track and feeling better soon! Guest guest
Hi Sandy - I'm new to the group and have been reading all the wonderful motivated messages everyone sends out. Acupuncture works wonders for back pain if you ever get up the nerve to try it. I've had it done before and it is truly not a painful procedure. You get to a point where you are willing to try anything to stop the pain! Donna

I have similar pain (across my lower back into my hip and down my leg) except it goes down my right leg whenever I do right front kicks. My solution (which I do NOT recommend for you) it to skip those kicks until the tapings. I think it is a pinched nerve and am hoping it is not a disc problem. Definitely stay away from the knee raises, ... until you are checked out and better. If you REALLY miss taebo, you could do the arm work! Let me know what the doctor says. No matter what, keep posting here! I would miss you too much if you stopped. I miss your journal entries. Elena

It was the combination of the pain, muscle relaxers and pain pills that made me eat more and I think the pills slowed my metabolism down..not to mention being physically dormant. I really shudder when I think about where I would have been if I didn't find Tae-Bo. Mentally as well as physically. The docs dragging their feet about getting the correct diagnosis didn't help either. It's a tough situation to be in, but once you know what is going on there is that light at the end of the tunnel..which is why I get irrate at docs for letting it drag on instead of standing up to the insurance companies.
