This morning I noticed one of those small signs that my body is changing.

I am now able to 'comfortably' wear a pair of panties that I had previously

relegated to the " too small " drawer. What a great feeling!

Yeah Sandy...pretty soon you'll have a big box of clothes and such to give away

because they are in the too baggy category!!!

well, other than losing a ring, pants, and panties

I fit into a neat Large exercise top comfortably that was on sale whereas I

would only try an extra Large before

Barb

who hasn't worn my rings much since and what is really sad and ironic, I had

them resized larger last winter.

We all get these little signs. The ones that others can't see but they

really give us motivation to keep going. Having to tighten your bra straps

or move the snaps over a notch. Moving a belt over a notch. Going down

one size in our pantyhose, or our pantyhose no longer roll down from the

waist -- ugh! I hate that!

WAY TO GO! This weekend my sister and I got together for the first time

since the holidays. My mom told her that I definitely started to look like I

was losing weight and to top it off my sister (who is 5 " taller than me) and

I had to trade clothes - she went up a size and I went down one - we swapped

our entire wardrobes (I'll just have to get everything hemmed now!)

Oh, the little things!! OK for me so far, it has really been when I put on

these pair of pants that I have and they were sticking right to my skin.

They actually hung off a little. My thighs are not as flabby...lol

Sandy,

Good for you! You have been working so hard at this, and it is good

to know that you are taking the time to enjoy the journey along the

way. The little things do mean a lot. And most of us seem to consider

some pretty big accomplishments as little things. We all need to learn

to keep our eyes on the goal..but to enjoy the personal accomplishments

along the way.

I'm still impressed though!!!!!! I just got on the scale (always a mistake

there) and I gained back three of the pounds I lost. But I'm still at 137 so

maybe I di really break the 140 barrier after 3 years of trying. I'm not ready

to claim victory yet though. When I'm PMS-ing and still in the 130's then I'll

celebrate.

I know it is mostly water. It makes me feel good though but thing thing is I

have lost 6% body fat over the past week. Does that also have to do with

water weight loss or what? Still trying to figure that one out. I am also

eating really healthy and drinking lots of water. I know it is really

unrealistic to think that this will continue. I would be glad to lose like

2lbs a week. We will see what happens.

So true. It's realistic, it's healthy, and it's less likely to be gained

back so quickly.

Obviously, though, Amy has been doing something right and should keep doing

it -- even though her weekly losses in the future won't be as great.

Amy,

Last week I lost 3% body fat. I went from 46% to 43%. Actually I went

from 46 to 43 in about 4 days. I went to a site that gives you your body fat

from your weight, hip measurment and waist measurment. I have a therory

though: Doesn't it seem like people who have higher body fat seem to lose

the inches faster? (And the body fat faster?) If I'm wrong someone correct

me, but it sound logical for some reason.

I think it true about men too..Mike has a body fat of 21% and even though he

isn't totally losing the love handles (what little he has) I can tell that

he is firming up some. I think losing the beer would help LOL The web site

URL is:

http://top.monad.net/~vsi/java/bfc.html

They have two seperate calculators, one for men and one for women.

Men's body fat is calculated by weight, wrist measurment and waist.

Women is by weight, hips and waist measuments.

Oh and you know what? I am still going to do the Intro tape tonight with

Mike, Tae-Bo twice a day!! Don't I feel stong, you know I do!!

Yah, maybe the body thinks that it will not be starving soon.
