WOOT WOOT Well is is offical. Dr R is going to be starting casting in vancouver i am excited to hear this. i asked him about the meeting in halifax and everything and he is excited to be able to offer casting to canadians!! im not sure if he is casting ASAP or what. we discussed Thaddeus and how he is doing with the brace. at this point we are sitting at 45* out of brace. Thaddeus is having some problems with his hip development becuase he is not walking yet. We know that the Scoli is probably causing the hip problem in turn causeing a delay in walking. so right now he has got a new larger hip brace he has to wear at night and 4 hours in the day as well as the TLSO 20 hours a day i know crazy. thats not it he was also casted for AFO's (foot brace) to help keep his feet stable and get him to start walking. sooo much stuff for such a sweet little boy. our new plan is to try and get him moving around as much as possible and hopfully if he is farther along in his walking we cant cast in March when we go back to see Dr R. We may have to have a torso/hip cast if his hips do not improve or get worse( dont want this) We are planing to do more Phsyio in the next 4 months and see if that helps. We will do 3 Pool PT and One at the office to see if we can speed things up. i know that once the cast is on he will have better balance and probably will have an easyer time walking but we need to get his hip delt with first. DR R is very happy with how his core has developed and how he is moving around He is such a great dr soo glad to have him . Thaddeus was giving Hi 5's to everyone soo cute love him PS. Dr R was aking how i know about halifax it was kind of funny... he didnt think of it till after he left the room. I tod him about the group and he was pleased that parents are out there getting informed about all the options. I also mentioned he will probaby see a lot more moms from the group in asking about casting WOOT WOOT Mommy to Thaddeus 22 months

Guest guest
Great news, ! Thanks for sharing that great news with CAST and please keep us all in the loop as to when his ET Program starts, so he can be added to the growing list. I will pray that lil T.s hips improve and that a combo cast is not needed by that time. High 5's for lil T. and ET coming to Vancouver! Where is Halifax anyway? I need to get the map out!
