Guest guest
I can't help on the crawling stuff as my daughter was older when casted but just wanted to say congratulations on getting that appointment, that's great news!!! I emailed Pierce's x-rays to Dr. K in AL. He replied saying that Pierce looked like a probable candidate. We have our eval/consult on Sept 29 and the OR is booked for the next morning. I am happy, excited and nervous. I hate the unknown... but I am thrilled that a doctor out there thinks Pierce's spine is worth fixing at this point. I am so happy that we don't have to wait for it to get worse before he would only get a brace. We will leave for AL around 5am on 9/29 and our appt is for 1pm. I do have a question... if your child was casted before crawling, how was it getting him/her to crawl, etc? Pierce HATES to be on his stomach and/or back. He is getting better/more tolerable with it, but still, it's not fun. His arms are pretty weak as a result of us not doing much tummy time because of his GERD. Any insight or tips in general would be great! Thanks again
