Hi everyone,

Okay, I don't really think it is the recipe itself because the last batch

with the Red Mill flour looked and tasted remarkably like McD's nuggets. I

did try to put them in the official box but one wiff and he could tell the

difference and promptly threw it on the floor. It must have something to do

with the gluten breading it must smell different. Did any of you ever try to

get your non eater to eat any other kind of non-breaded meat? Should I try

bacon? Also you may find it interesting that he will not eat with metal

silverware, plastic is the only thing he will put to his lips. Ugh! Trina

Trina's nuggets

Hi Trina--

There are a lot of nugget recipes floating around out there. I don't really

use a recipe. I just get whatever GFCF flour mix I happen to have on hand,

mix it about 1/2 with GFCF bread crumbs, add salt, oregano and basil. Then

I crack an egg and mix it up with a little darifree (whatever milk sub you

are using). I dredge the chicken pieces in the egg mixture first, then the

flour mixture, then fry. Its pretty easy and quick.

What I have noticed, is that my little guy will not eat the ones that I have

cooked, frozen and reheated. :( You can always check the

gfcfrecipes@... for help on recipes. About 1,200 read that list and

their helpful folks.

's suggestion to put the nuggets in a Mc's box is a great one.
