Guest guest Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 Good morning everybody, I'm Edita , mother of a 7-year-old mildly autistic boy, living in Melrose, Massachusetts. My family and I are thinking about relocating to the Alpharetta-Roswell area in Georgia in the near future. We're trying to find the best school placement for our son, who is in a regular, small size public system kindergarten class now with 18 children (him included; 3 special need kids in the classroom), 1 teacher and 2 aids as suggested per IEP. His IEP lists low auditory processing speed; expressive and receptive language are both well below average; he needs a small classroom, cueing and repeats, preferential seating, etc. He is doing well in the current classroom setting and we're looking for something similar in the above mentioned area. I would appreciate any kind of input you could provide for me. Thanks a lot and have a good day! Edita Quote
