Question: Scobies that grow tails

My scobies that are brewing have black " stuff " growing. Some of this

encompasses the entire underneath of the scobie and may or may not

trail downward. I definitely know it's not mold. I didn't start

having this with my brews until we came into this heat wave we are in

and the average temp in my house jumped from 72F to 76-78F. My brews

are not taking as long either. I had been letting them brew for 14

days. Now I am getting the same result in 7-8 days. I can only

contribute this to the heat, but some assurance from the long timers

would be appreciated.
