Guest guest
Thanks http://www.michaelmooney.net/Omega-3sMayReduceAnxietyForDrugAddicts.html Omega-3 (fish oil) fats affect brain chemistry in amazing ways, reducing depression, for instance. Read "The Omega-3 Connection" by Stoll, MD, of Harvard. A logical inference of this study is that people with substance abuse problems might not be so anxious and troubled by anxiety that they would "fall off the wagon" and use alcohol or drugs. Their brain and nervous system chemistry may become more optimal if they consume an optimal dose of omega-3 fish oils. This study used 3000 mg net EPA/DHA per day. This requires 6 capsules of Jarrow brand MAXDHA, or 3 teaspoons of a fish oil liquid, made by Carlson, Jarrow, Nordic Naturals, Spectrum and others per day.
