Hello Everyone, I've always enjoyed reading anime comic books but

i've always found them so hard to read. For example the anime comic

books " Rurouni Kenshin " you have to read it backwards, lol. It's

really weird you have to read it from i think top right to bottom

left, and the configuration they show on the flap of the comic book

doesn't match how they configured the squares in the comic book

itself. So that just makes it even more confusing so it's like " ok am

i reading square 3? Or am i reading squares 4 or 5 now?,lol. " I mean

they're fun to read and i love how they do the characteristics of the

characters like the eyes and the hair and all the facial features and

things like that.

And i also feel that alot of the social situations in these anime

comics relate to AS/NT social situations, sometimes i feel like the

rurouni, which is a " swordsman with no destiny. " And he carries with

him what is called a " sakabato " which is " a sword with the blade

upside down. " And so it's really interesting how they made these

comic books. I like to read it every once in awhile whenever i'm

feeling in the mood for a little confusion and fun, lol. I should tell

that to the author some time i bet he'd get a kick out of that. So

anyways, do any of you read anime comics?

If so what kind do you read? Rurouni Kenshin is the only one i have

so far and i'm still adapting to the way it's supposed to be read.

But once i get the hang of it i'll be sure to breeze my way right

through the series and then maybe pick up on a different anime series

and i'll become a collective anime reader like my other AS friends.

So anyways i'll let you go, it's getting a little late i might hit

the sack for the night i don't know i'm kind of dwelling on the idea.

I think i'll just check the weather forecast and hit the sack. I

think i've heard it raining outside for the past hour i'm not sure

but i could be wrong :/. I hope to hear from you soon, good luck in

all you do.

Signed,

Greg

Greg:

Kenshin Himura rocks. I have the first manga from the series, but is completely on Japanese, so I can't read it, but I have seen the entire TV serie so I mostly know what happens (don't worry, I am not gonna spoil you the story). Only thing I would say is that Kenshin taught me tons of lesson about life and how much different ways can be of taking it. Is curious, but my main teachers about life were animes mostly, and I can't say their teachings failed to me: they made me the person I am and now thought I am AS like you and the rest, I can mostly relate to people more boldly and daring than many NTs, and I am not shy of being exactly what I like to be (a good example is like I love to wander on the streets with my Katana, while many people here will die blushing before even thinking on doing something like that).

Now, regarding animes and mangas, I might say I watch more anime than I read mangas by the simple reason mangas simply DON'T reach this part of the world (The Wasteland Of South America we nickname Perú in the world maps). The few mangas I have were a gift from a friend my stepfather had in Japan. And, regarding anime, well, it simply arrived here by the black marketing, so it was more easy to find (Perú is the land where culture have putten it's grave stone: people will rather watch the same TV shows 20 times rather than reading a book) since they were on VHS, VCDs or DVDs. My likings vary much, since I pursue enthrilling fantasy/scifi stories (I do usually don't get much into realism since for such matter I have MORE THAN ENOUGH with my very own life) or animes with really beautyfull character designs. Is a bless when you can get both, in company of a great soundtrack. If someone is interested here on anime, I'm on the discussion.

PD: Did you knew Kenshin Himura, The Hittokiri Battousai, was actually based on a real historical character from the Meiji Era of Struggle on Japan? You can check it out on the NET for more details. Gumina <callisto5784@...> escribió:
