Very nice!It would be a bit nicer if it wasn't tied to one provider of NFP instruction, but as a resource to refer to it's well thought out and attractive; miles ahead of so many websites....

Hello,

I do not normally post on this site but I recently came across a website that has me very excited about exposing the truth/lies about contraceptive use in our culture.  It looks like a site begun by young college kids with an honest look at this issue.  I would love to see this information become more public.  It's what the contraceptive industry does not tell us that is the biggest lie in our culture.

I was disappointed to find that the site has a video singing the praises of the Essure procedure.

Oh! . . . that would be a " no, no " for practicing Catholics and like-minded others.  I only read part of the website and did not catch, yet, any justification of tubal ligation. On Fri, Jul 13, 2012 at 9:24 AM, <bmcgehe@...> wrote:

Actually, it would have been more precise of me to say that, after the 3 videos on the home page have run, other video choices pop up on the screen. Prominent among those options is a segment from "the Doctors" singing the praises of Essure. Therefore, anyone looking at the 1 flesh.org will get the impression (rightly or wrongly?) that this is a recommended choice for family planning. That would be a caution in giving a blanket recommendation for someone to go to the site. The homepage material could be a good resource for a video insert in a presentation (may need permission re:copyright?), depending on the audience. Thanks, Helen, for passing it on.

I asked the web site developers about why they are only promoting one form of NFP, and the message I got back was that they are very soon going to have a more comprehensive list. Just FYI.

1Flesh can't pick which YouTube videos are suggested after you watch

theirs. They do not promote sterilization.

Their videos are on YouTube, so after viewing anything, YouTube

automatically generates a list of suggested videos based on your

video's key words. So if my key words included " contraception " or

" women's health " then it would be possible for a video on Essure to

pop up even though I have no tie to it at all.

On my own blog, a YouTube video of my daughter Bridget with key words

like " crawling " or " cute " could be followed with a suggested video

about a cute kitten or something.

Using a large, well-run site like YouTube has benefits and risks, but

I just wanted people to know that 1Flesh does not promote

sterilization.
