The jdbgmgr.exe is the MS Debugger Registrar for Java, which you only care about if you are a Java developer. For more info, go to the Network Associates site http://vil.nai.com/vil/content/v_99436.htm or, if you're the suspicious type, just enter the filename in Google. Guest guest Posted June 17, 2003 Report Share Posted June 17, 2003 Dear Geoff, I am sitting here and honestly I can tell you now that it wouldn't take much to make me cry. I have been so sick and feeling so overwhelmed by the slightest things. This is just enough to put me over the edge. I thank you for your help and I wonder if there is damage done to our computer through the following of the directions. If there is I must alert the people on my address list. One could argue that I should become more knowledgeable about my computer and how it works. I know many of you on the list are fairly proficient. I can only say that after a chronic illness, two beautiful boys ( and all of the homework, driving, educating and playing therein ), a loving husband, extended family, keeping some semblance of a home etcetera, I have neither the energy nor the desire. I need this nasty box only to communicate with people like me so we can learn from each other and also send/receive the odd joke or life musing to make the hard days pass softer. It is VERY likely someone who is on this list. Please be careful out there, and update your anti-virus. I am not dead, just very very busy. Lindsey (my typical 12yo) has been ill with her gall bladder, and it's been taking all my time. I am also still going to school, and working with Nick on ways to handle his temper. He is really doing well on strattera. I hope everyone is well here, and I plan to be back in a few weeks once all the Lindsey stuff settles. It's actually pretty old. No one delete ANYTHING! This is a hoax, and has been going around for several years. There is a fix for it... I am sure has it if I can't find it. I received this same e-mail about 4 months ago and before doing anything suggested in the e-mail, I checked on the Virus Hoax website to see if this was indeed a hoax. The file JDBGMGR.EXE is a legit Windows operating system file.
