Hi Minnesota -

Kim Hartke (Sally's WAPF publicist and hartkeisonline.com blogger) and I are

coming up a couple days early for the Raw Milk Symposium on May 7, 2011 in

Bloomington.

Any suggestions for family farms to visit? Or great restaurants?

Hi ~~~

I can start up the restaurant portion (btw, if you check the TFMN files,

there's a list of great farms & restaurants here in the Twin Cities and

surrounding areas)...

Farms:

/database?method=reportRows & tb\

l=12

Restaurants:

/database?method=reportRows & tb\

l=5

There are a boatload, but a few of my own personal highlights are below (I

could make a really really long list though...but the TFMN database should

cover it ;-):

The Strip Club Meat & Fish (STILL MY CURRENT FAVORITE! Local, organic, great

atmosphere, and impressive personality): www.domeats.com. Located in St.

.

Faces Mears Park: http://www.facesmearspark.com/

(They make EVERYTHING from scratch (including their ketchup!)). Located

downtown St.

The Inn: Traditional pub-style food AND it's locally sourced and organic:

www.inneats.com In the heart of downtown Minneapolis.

Yum!

Yes, , please refer everyone who will be coming to check out our DATABASE

here, however, I need to get it updated, there are actually several new and

awesome locavore spots here! I need GOOD REVIEWS sent to me (with lots of

details such as grass-fed options, local sourcing, etc).

Thanks for reminding me to do this.

In fact, I've been meaning to add a whole new department to the FILES, which

will be REVIEWS, critical reviews of grocery stores, butcher shops, books,

films, farmer's markets, dropsites, CSAs, charitable organizations, links and

much more, all related to NT!!

Restaurant Alma - fresh, seasonal, local, organic, pastured

528 University Ave SE Minneapolis, MN 55414 - not far from downtown Mpls

Brasa - casual, cheaper sister restaurants (same chef/owner as Alma):

one in Minneapolis, near Alma, and one in St.
