Guest guest
Ditto from me. Well said . Al brought up some great talking points today. Thanks to Al and to everyone who showed up yesterday. A great event, and more to come! Rebekah On May 21, 2011, at 10:03 PM, susan_in_mtns wrote: > I can't let it go unsaid before I sleep how wonderful our > traditional foods community is. Guest guest
Ditto, ! Say, I think I heard Al say that he could provide a paragraph about each of the questions on his fascinating handout. Could we post that here so everyone can have those facts and soundbites at the ready?
Guest guest
I agree, it was a wonderful afternoon! Thank you to Susie and all who put it together and made it work. I woke up this morning with Will calling out " Rapture in 2 minutes! " ringing in my ears... Glad to have yet another day to do my preparations! Guest guest
My iodine patch was gone when I awoke this morning. That was like 15 hours after the application. How do I support the need for more iodine? I would agree that Al does a great summary of why we need to question the threshold for cholesterol lowering drugs. At 53 years of age, I have yet to have my cholesterol checked. Alvin Glad to have yet another day to do my preparations

Guest guest
Mine was completely gone too. But then, I already knew I was deficient. I am personally supplementing with Prolamine from Standard Process, which I can get for you. I will try to write an article for my website on this subject very soon. www.optimalhealthconnection.com In the meantime, the short answer is...eat seafood, particularly seaweed. And feed some to your chickens too! Kathy
Guest guest
YES! Well written, , and ditto to it just like everyone else! This was another event where I simply felt bad for people who missed it! Multiple side conversations took place that this is the only group where it's actually worth doing a potluck because the ingredients are REAL! This shop n' swap potluck will be a monthly activity and something I hope I don't ever miss! It was GREAT to see friends and to make some new ones. I also appreciated Al 's talk because he was able to raise the awareness w/o even having to say it that people are asking REALLY GOOD questions out there and that WE NEED TO KNOW THE ANSWERS TO THESE QUESTIONS (which will be posted throughout the week). I can't emphasize enough that our community grows by leaps and bounds when we take it to face-to-face interactions rather than solely over a discussion board. I feel genuinely blessed being around all of you whenever I'm given the opportunity...a " giddy-high " doesn't even begin to explain it! PLEASE, do us ALL the pleasure and start gracing us with your presence. Each person has so much to offer (knowledge, stories, experiences, giftings, talents, connections, etc.) Becca :-D

Guest guest
Again- thanks to all who came out. I think we can all agree that great things are happening in this community and it's exciting to watch. I was especially happy to see the number of children who attended and had a great time playing outside with them. They are our future! Due to the questionable weather forcast I didn't plant seeds with the children as I had planned, but no one seemed disappointed with the variety of fun activities that were provided. Great conversation and optimal food. Stay tuned for the next one in June. Lauderdale city hall is working out great, but if anyone has another suggestion, please email me. See you all soon Susie Zahratka >
Guest guest
Kathy, I really think we need to invent a trad food version of instant suntan lotion with iodine! Overall coverage for continual supplementation! We could set a new trend! Beth
