Guest guest
Hi All~ Do any of your AS children have older, teenage siblings? We're facing some issues, and I don't have that much of a network on this part. Our daughter is almost 16, and she is having a lot of difficulty in accepting AS. I see a lot of hurt and anger in her and what was formerly a really loving sibling relationship has deteriorated badly. That doesn't help any of the AS issues. She's at a very " socially conscious " age: she won't hear of therapy for herself, and would rather not hear of it at all. She actually told me last night that she doesn't believe in AS, and thinks if we were better parents, this would all go away. She was crying the whole time. Any experience or suggestions out there? I've scheduled a family meeting tonight in an effort to keep the peace. Thanks for listening.
