Guest guest
Hi Dottie, That's great you have cruise reservations. I've always wanted to go but haven't yet for various reasons. Sandy is such a wonderful person. I haven't met yet. Usually, Cerie Mauerman does the cooking classes there. If I go, I want a VACATION!!! My goal is to use my airmiles to fly to Florida, but coming and going from HI is hard to do so (everyone wants to come to HI!). Hope you're having a great day. Still need to check the cookbook for you. It was on my mind, but there are several things going on over the last few days. Guest guest
, please do join us on the cruise. Or perhaps talk Sandy into doing a cruise to HI????? Hubby & I had never been on a cruise before & Jan Belleme was so extremely helpful in answering all my questions & making sure all the arrangements were perfect. We signed up early this time to get the discount. Ah, yes, Cerie - I couldn't remember her name. She was a beautiful assistant, always there with the proper utensil. And I understand about the busy days - especially after your return from Boston. Actually, I had been thinking about 's new book for awhile, trying to resist buying another cookbook. When I saw your post about their pet website, I thought that this group might have some helpful commentaries on the book. Maybe by the time that I make up my mind about the book, it will on sale :-) Dottie Re: reggie - hello! Hi Dottie,That's great you have cruise reservations. Guest guest
I WILL ask Sandy about doing a cruise here. We have the Norweigan Cruise Line... I've thought about it before, but never acted on it. I know a couple of other people have thought about doing one before as well, but he already knows how to do this, so he'd be an ideal person to work with. The cookbook does not have any soy milk in it that I noticed, but it has several recipes with tofu (silken tofu, in particular). I got excited about some new recipes as I paged through it again. Books are my downfall too. I try my best to get things at the library first rather than spending the $ and having more " things " , but this strategy does not work for macrobiotic books at all :-) Have a great day, > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi Reg, > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Seems like ages since I " spoke " to you! Guest guest
Yep, Sandy definitely has the expertise for setting up cruises. I think that I've just about worn out our little library....like you said, the price is right & I don't have to worry about "owning" it. When I first started macro, I got to know our librarian on a first name basis (she has since re-located). She would borrow every macro title that I took to her, or if no other library had it, she would buy a copy. At that time, libraries received federal money to purchase so many books/year. Of course, the title had to sound interesting to several people (such as diet cookbooks or cancer-prevention books). Since 's cooking shows were winning PBS awards, they were an easy purchase for her to justify. Used book stores are my second most favorite places. I was surprised to find lots of used macro books in Vancouver, B.C..... And I'm still appreciative of Vickie sharing a copy of "Healing Ourselves" with me - friends can't be beat :-) Dottie Re: reggie - hello! I WILL ask Sandy about doing a cruise here.
