Guest guest
Didn't notice the question on my source in my answer. I bought a gallon for about $140 from a Texas emu coop. My PC crashed so don't have any links. I did a search on google, called the first company I found & asked for a bulk price on a gallon. jim
Guest guest
Jill, I think that is a much more sensible way to apply emu oil. After all, what is the point of doing the saunas if there is even a chance of the oil blocking the ozone. At least, while there is any doubt (and Saul, I believe, thinks it blocks the ozone), rather control the amount of itching by reducing the amount time doing you bi-daily ozone sauna. The point is to get healthy, not to prevent rashes. The best way to prevent rashes is, DON'T do ozone......... but then, you won't heal! :-) Best wishes and much love, Ken Ken Gullan, President Institute for Research Integration (IRI) IRI is a 501C(3) non-profit charity, dedicated to helping children with developmental difficulties. Hi Jim, since my sauna will be here any day now I might want to have some emu oil on hand. Where do you get yours? If you are funnelling over your lungs and get a rash on your back-- hmm, that might not be dry skin? But theoretically, just to protect oneself, one could do the sauna, and then afterwards a shower and put some emu oil on? Is that what you do? Hope you're much improved. SOmeone on the CFS group is doing well with her ozone sauna but did get real bad rashes in the beginning, and they are not nearly as bad now, which does indicate more the idea of the toxin theory. But surely you are right, it might be both. Anyway, she uses Saul's protease and some kind of gel made from band-aid that is anti-itch, and cold showers. Guest guest
Jim glad to hear your still kicking I would say based on your individual history. That the rash and its pain is the chemicals extracting themselves though the skin I believe the dryness is important but secondary and the EMU oil addresses the petrochemicals leaving - so be it. Didn't you mention your are originally from W.V. Some parts of that state are extremely polluted. So please reconsider your emotional response to your recent illness. Look at it this way. If you were not working so vigoriously on your physical healing you would have suffered greatly and died end of story. Now you have suffered and will recover, story continues. Now we all will get more irascible Jim Lambert. Which I happen to like Dwight Munson ible Re: Ozone rash relief!--Jim--where get emu oil? I'm not going to nay-say anyone's experiences with the rash because response to specific emollients is somewhat individualized. My mother got relief from oils that did nothing for me. And, it was my chicken reaction to the ozone rash, as compared to my mom's toughing it out, that kept me from cleaning out as thoroughly as I could, and should, have.... and ultimately led to the health problems I've had this year. I have no doubt I could have avoided the last 6 months dis ease if I had completed my ozone cleanout. I was, in fact, trying to get my ozone equipment back in one location to begin a program of ozone saunas when I first got the pneumonia. Too soon old, too late smart, I am now doing ozone insufflation for my lungs regardless of the rash. And, will have my sauna cabinet back home as soon as I am strong enough to drive to get it. I had just moved it to Hilton Head to use it there, when I got sick. A Cosmic joke on me. But, in this process, I have found that emu oil is different from any other oil I have tried. It works better for me than anything else. I believe it will for others as well, and recommend everyone with ozone rash try it. Put it on the rash every time it itches. It stops the itch and makes the rash go away in a fraction of the time of anything else I have used. And, yes, I am certain my responses are dry skin, as I have been dealing with dehydration for several years. I had oily skin all my life, and this changed about 5 years ago. Early this year in Hilton Head I was oiling my body daily with emu oil to deal with my dry skin, and this is when I discovered that the rash, at least for me, is more related to dry skin than anything. You see, I get a " cleansing rash " from anything I do to clean out. And the fact that it comes out on my upper chest & back is common for people like myself with a lifetime of exposure to cigarettes and inhaled chemicals. I grew up in a cabinet shop with paints & thinners. Did body & fender work with epoxies & other plastice, painted cars in the lacquer thinner days, etc, etc. I smoked continuously for more than 25 years beginning at 14. My history is littered with inhalant chemical exposure. So having the rash on my chest is reasonable for my experiences. As are my experiences with my lungs. jim > Hi Jim, since my sauna will be here any day now I might want to have > some emu oil on hand.
