You know the liver is an amazing organ..And you can read all you can about it, and then boom there's some thing new..I know before my transplant, a lot of "normal" functions were failing..Well some thing happened and I never linked this to my liver...Hormones in the cirrhotic phase different glands are affected like the Pituitary gland. And in the final stages of liver disease a lot of changes occurs . Cute stuff, like men sometimes develop breasts, women have changes with their menstrual cycles...and sleep changes , appetite and body changes...I can remember always being cold, even when the outside temp was in the 90s... so basically what I'm getting around to is this: Any other female out there going though premature menopause, abnormal menses etc... Kathy B.. Kathy

I had everything but one ovary removed in 1992, so I don't know about that angle, but tx has done a number on my TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone). Haven't had a dose change in Synthroid in 8 years, but almost tripled my dose last month.

Don't know how much of mine is me just being weird or the hep. Was told I couldn't get pg. because of a hormone imbalance of un known causes. They have always being irregular -- from unknown causes. And think I been menopausal for the last 5 years.
