Dear ,

I'm so glad to hear you've made some headway regarding your son's next

school year. It sounds as if he's off to the best start possible. I'm also

glad to hear one of the teachers your son had in 7th grade most likely will

have him for a class or two. A familiar face can be very helpful. It's

wonderful when we find a person in a school situation who represents a

" voice of reason. " I hope this teacher (and others) will be able to serve in

that role for your son.

To order the booklet on OCD for school personnel, you can go to the website

for the Awareness Foundation for OCD & Related Disorders (AFOCD) at

www.ocdawareness.com <http://www.ocdawareness.com/> There, you can click on

one of the sections for ordering the video *Hope and Solutions for OCD* (it

tells you to click if you want to order the entire video). When you click on

this, an order form will come up. The order form contains videos and also my

school personnel pamphlet. You can complete that form, if you wish, and send

it to me. I disseminate videos and books for AFOCD, so I would actually fill

your order. Please note that the national OCF also sells this pamphlet, but

I'm not sure they have the most recent version (2003) available. Also please

know that I don't receive any money for the sale of this booklet through

either the national OCF or AFOCD; I wrote it on a completely voluntary

basis! :-)

Again, I wish you all my best.

Sincerely,

Gail
