When I buy commercial kombucha, I usually look for one made locally in San

Francisco by a company called the Rejuvenation Company.

Recently, I couldn't find that brand and bought one called Kombucha Wonder

Drink. Does anyone know if this brand is raw or not? After I bought it, I

noticed it doesn't say it is raw on the bottle.

Also, anyone know the Rejuvenation Company? They also make rejuvelac. I love

their kombucha, and would like to contact them but can't find contact info.

Regards,

Bruce

I found this:

" KWD decided that product safety should be our watchword, and we

therefore pasteurize all our products. "

I've got to say that I am really bummed out to hear this because I totally

love their Oolong Blend. That said, I'm also a little relieved because I am

spending too much money on it and I've been procrastinating about getting a

SCOBY and starting to brew my own KT. I like GT's too, but it is even more

expensive than the KWD. I really need to get off my kiester and start

brewing, don't I? I want to make it with Oolong because it's sooooo good!

Thanks to you and Tasha for your answers. I was pretty sure that IF it was raw,

they would say so....

Hi Bruce,

on the website www.wonderdrink.com they say " The benefits of Kombucha

are in the acids that are created during fermentation. These acids help

detoxify your body and are not affected by pasteurizing. " That

certainly makes me think it is not raw. They also carbonate it.

I have never heard of The Rejuvenation Company. That doesn't mean much

though. I have never seen commercial kombucha in Canada. I keep

looking because I would like to try it once to compare to my own, but it

doesn't seem to be out there. Or maybe it is just not available in

Greater Vancouver.

Hello Silani,

I've tried the kombucha wonder drink, just for comparison to my own brew. I

know that it is pasteurized, I read about it on their website.

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone knows the product kombucha wonder drink and

if it is any good.

It does not say it is raw, like Gt Dave's, so I'm wondering if it is

pasteurized and therefor not as healthy.

I wanted to send a case of GT Dave's over to my mother, but she's in

Edmonton (Canada), and GT Dave's doesn't seem to be in any of the

health food stores I've called there so I'm not sure if it's sold in

Canada.

If anyone on this list has tried the " wonder drink " or knows of a

source of raw kombucha in Edmonton, I'd appreciate the information. I

know she won't make it herself. The bottled drink I'm questioning

doesn't have any additive in the ingredients, but I just don't know

how useful it will be if it's not raw. If I have to ship GT Dave's,

the shipping will cost a lot.....I'm not even sure I could do that,

because it's raw.

Thank you,

Silani
