Hi Ramona,

My 14yo son has TS and he makes noises in his mouth that I just

can't imagine how he is doing it. These tics wax and wane and

definitely increase in times of stress and anxiety. From your post,

it sounds like you and your son have had a lot of stress recently

with 3 people that you know dying in one week. This could be the

cause of your son's extra worrying and most definitely a cause for

that possible tic. We find that bringing attention to the noise

(tic) causes our son to make more noises. I would talk to your

psychiatrist about it. But don't worry, even if it is a tic, it will

more than likely stop when the anxiety lessens.

Thanks for all the responses. I have noticed that the tic seems to have lessened

some.
