Guest guest
Hey Mike, thanks... I just got off the phone with the nurse and they definitely will order the shots through the hospital to send to the clinic. I live way out in the boonies here (north central Idaho) = No university hospitals... only one doctors office and pharmacy within miles. Could do a long drive for other pharmacies and save a bit, but my old car is not in the best of shape for long commutes. I did call the manufacturer and was told there could be no help if I have insurance of any kind. Sigh = working class poor, lol. It is great news that they will order Pegasys & inject me though. Now all I have to worry about is the ribovirin co-pay and that is doable. It will even leave me enough room to prepare for Januarys deductible, ect. It is such a relief to have this all settled and know I can get tx and still eat! Now all that is left is the exact start date... hope to find that out soon. Take care, Hey don't despair if the doc wont help you maybe the drug manufacturer will the doc can set you up with them if he can't then try a university hospital or med acess if they have it wherever you are Mike---
Guest guest
Well sorry to hear you are so remotly located it is harder to get medical stuff that way I was born in the boonies in IOWA so I well understand, At 18 I moved to chicago ( south side ) and that was a real rude awakening. I've only been in Idaho once, I was going west on 90 and had 90 miles in Idaho to go through and 45 miles into it blew a spark plug out at 3:00 am, too dark to see it so pulled in a gas station woke up in the morning to REDNECK CITY!!! LOL I had hair to the middle of my back, a volkswagen van with greteful dead stickers all over it, they were quite interested in me so I just reinstalled the plug ( they were surprised that I knew how to tap and rethread it } and got my ass to washington state line. Life sure was a lot more fun before the hep showed me how powerful it was. Can't even do auto repair now Hmmmmm See ya!!!!Mike > Hey Mike, thanks... > > I just got off the phone with the nurse and they definitely will order the > shots through the hospital to send to the clinic. Guest guest
Hey , The waiting is the hardest part. Last year around this time my doctor pretty much forced me to agree to tx. I thought if it was so urgent he would get me started a s a p bit here it is - a year later & I'm still waiting for a biopsy before I'll start !!! I was hesitant to try tx again since I've done it twice & not responded either time (with bad sides) but he was insistant so I agreed & here I wait, like Rapunzel waiting for the guy who will rescue her from durance vile or Sleeping Beauty waiting for her prince's kiss. We wait together, Suzie & Spyke p s at least we have some really good reading material to help pass the time ! <2llama@...> wrote: .. Guest guest
here Dane... I had to ask the same thing not long ago. Tx = Treatment... Bx = Biopsy... Pt = Patient. Ok gang... did I get them all right or miss an important one? Suzie, you are right about waiting... I would be certifiable if I had to wait as long as you! Been a long and nasty day here... cold and damp, first day of school, new boss, every muscle hurting now... boy do I miss the solitude of my summer vacation... well, lack of people I should say. Never lonely around here, lol. Yup... a good read is well deserved! Nighty night all... Hi Suzie , what is ( tx ) Danesuzie <suzieandsandy@...> wrote: Hey , The waiting is the hardest part.
