Hi Diane, Lucas my six year old is the exact way with noses. He tolerates

IVS, meds, shots everything except nose sprays, or scopes. He has had alot of

erosion in his nose because of sinus infections, allergies etc. so I am sure

that he deals with a constant discomfort in his nose. I know some nose

sprays burn very badly from personal experience. I knowalso with Lucas that

breathing is a real big issue when you have a stuffy nose and asthma. It

makes since that he would panic if there is something up his nose and he

needs to compensate all the time to breathe. Just another NO NOSE KID.

Diane, it makes sense to me. They also could do a very good sinus rinse while

they are in there. I wonder why they do not do more of them under general

anesthesia. Anesthesia can be so minimal these days with the great new drugs.

Why do they need to cut if they clear it and use hefty antibiotics and a

boost of steriods as well as Guafinison. Just from DR> BARBIE Ha HA

Thanks Barbie! I didn't even think of the fact that it could be hard for

him to breathe on top of being uncomfortable. That makes sense, when you

think about it. Although Kody does his nose spray without any trouble at

all, but a scope is completely different! I have decided though, that I

am going to firmly mention tomorrow to the ent that since a recent ct

scan was taken showing the sinuses, that should be enough to decide if

surgery is needed or not, and if a scope is needed, why can't they wait

and do it at the time of the surgery? That way Kody doesn't even have to

know about it!
