Guest guest
I hadn't done Kick, Punch & Crunch in a year or two and had a blast today! Leza came over and we did the entire tape, pikes on the ball and all! I could only pike to my knees, but hope is to be on my toes before the year is up! I used a 12 lb dumbell for the pullovers on the ball. This workout has been reviewed to death, but basically this is an intense cardio kickboxing workout, but the moves aren't that complicated. I would say this is a 9 in intensity but only a 6 in complexity. It is 68 minutes long and has a nice warmup and cooldown section, including pigeon pose, which I desperately needed. This workout is from 2003, and I got this tape on a $5 clearance from Cathe's website when she got rid of her workouts on vhs. At the time, even the vhs tape of this went for $15+ ! This workout is generally considered a treasure. The ball workouts I've been doing lately really helped me for the pikes, even if I was only doing the knee ones and not the complete V ones. I have improved a lot since my last time kicking, punching and cruncing with Cathe! Mother Nature gave me her monthly present early, and I'm so happy! That means I won't be like this on Tuesday when I get my second session with Noel, who has informed me that he is going to kill my chest. <gulp> I have pretty much made up my mind to buy some sessions from him. I'm selling all kinds of stuff on Ebay and will use the PayPal $ to fund this, which will also help me declutter. I'm teaching a fun mix tomorrow, a blend of Turbo Kick Round 22 and also a Rogue Underground 1.7 mix, which is just like Turbo Kick only made by an indie friend of mine. It will be fun! Hope everyone's weekend is off to a good start! Smash knees,
