Hi ,

& nbsp;

I was against & nbsp;the T & amp;A for 2 years. But, now I've decided to go through

with it in a few weeks. My son has been fevering for 2.5 years now. 27 fevers

since he was born. He suffers horribly during an episode. I stay up late at

night researching , collecting information and reading the posts on this

site. I've taken my son to many doctors. He sees an Infectious Disease Doctor

and recently I found an ENT who is very educated about . My discussion

with & nbsp;the ENT, & nbsp;2.5 years of watching my beloved son suffer, not

wanting to constantly medicate him & nbsp;and reading about the numerous cases of

successful T & amp;A's... & nbsp;are what ultimately persuaded me to schedule the

T & amp;A. I also was able to talk to a Mother who just had the surgery done on

her daughter by the same surgeon. She said he was wonderful and that Children's

Hospital took very good care of her daughter during and after the surgery. I've

also been reading about PANDA

syndrome. Medical research is linking Schizophrenia and OCD to people who

were & nbsp;constantly ill when they were children. I reccommend that parents

google PANDA Syndrome and talk to their Doctors about it. It's & nbsp;something to

be aware of....I think that all of the parents on this site are making the best

decisions for their children. & nbsp;Every situation is different. & nbsp;We do the

best we can with the little information that is available about . & nbsp;

& nbsp;

Hang in there!

, My son now age 7 and fever free since Dec 20th ,2007!!!had a

tonsil and adnoid surgery. He had all the symptoms you explain.

Diagnosed with as well. predisone worked beautifully, so did

cimedidine... My sons tonsils appeared to be healthy but alittle

large...when they took them out they were slightly sickly. The

decision was easy for us since we had been battling this for several

years... \

Now he still gets stomache pains...now diagnosis with acid reflux

and we treat this with pepcid or prolesec.

Good luck.
