I remember Jeanetta always saying to me EXPAND EXPAND EXPAND and I'd always say " TO WHAT " ...LOL But here's some suggestions. If you FINALLY have her engaged in rolling a ball back and forth (took FOREVER to get Maddie to do this), do something else with the ball. STick it in your shirt; see if she'll come get it. See if she'll put it in your shirt. Put it on your head, giggling. Always act like you are having the time of your life!!!! If she loses interest and tries to leave, then you have to do what is called obstructive play. Get in her way (crawling--be at her height level or lower). When she pushes you to get away, fall over making a HUGE *ooohhhh* sound, jump back up and get in her way again; she'll probably make a game out of it when she sees the power she has of knocking you over (Maddie thought this was hysterical). You MUST be OVERLY animated. Take those beads of hers and stick them on your head and make them fall to the ground making a clash sound (and laugh hysterically). Hide them in her shoe, or her pocket, or your pocket. Do peek a boo with them as if they are a person playing with her. After you get her going, hold them closer and closer to your face and eyes, so she will SLOWLY start making eye contact (sort of a tricky way to get them to look near your eyes) Dangle them from your nose. Make a circle out of them and stick your tongue through the circle. Funny faces have to be extremely noticeable to her. These are just some thoughts. If you tell me more about her type of play, what kind of things she stims on, maybe I can add more. Donna
