My son who's 5 was diagnosed last year by Prof Pat Howlin at St 's Hospital. She may be able to help you find someone who can diagnose your children. Sue Buckley was very sceptical about dual diagnosis last time I spoke to her. Having the diagnosis had made a big difference to the the help we get. 's about to start at an ABA school called Treehouse this week which we're delighted about. I'm a member of the DSA too but it seems that noone wants to address the issue of autism in kids with DS. I've been thinking of setting up some kind of UK support group, I wonder how many kids out there are not diagnosed and not getting the right kind of input.
