Guest guest Posted February 12, 2006 Report Posted February 12, 2006 has been getting his fevers on 21-day intervals, which means that the fever was due this past Wednesday. On Monday, he came down with a really vicious stomach bug (it went through our whole family within eight hours!) He was just getting over that when we expected (and dreaded) the fever. It hasn't hit yet, and he's doing fine. I think I've read on this list of other kids who got a " normal " illness around when a fever was due and then had a skipped or delayed fever. I'm wondering how common this is and whether there is any known reason. It almost looks like if you throw a real invader at the immune system, it gets too busy and cancels its regularly scheduled event! If that's true, it seems like there must be some way to use that against the fever syndrome, although we sure don't want a bug like that one again anytime soon! - __________________________________________________ Quote
