Guest guest
, I've forgotten what country you are from. Does your country use steroid growth hormones & antibiotics in your meats and veggies like the United States does? Your breast milk would be quite beneficial to your baby if your body is not being loaded with Steroid growth hormones and antibiotics from your food consumption. You would not be passing all that bad stuff to your baby if your food is safer than ours. I wish I could buy all my foods out of the USA. The more of this stuff they put into our foods the sicker and fatter this country gets.
Guest guest
Hi , I'm in the Republic of Ireland. I really watch my diet, infact I follow the Best Bet diet as much as possible, hence I avoid any genetically modified or processed food. I eat organic where possible. I don't think our food is as bad as it sounds like the US is but I think everyone no matter whre they are can watch what they eat. Breastmilk is very beneficial to babies and it promoted alot here to get more mothers breastfeeding again. Of course mothers ahve to eat properly so the breastmilk is of good quality. I think that is easier done than your making out though plus there's also the problem that formula milk isn't as good as it should be and many brands don't have enough essential nutrients in their formula milk. http://edwina.sail.to > , > > I've forgotten what country you are from. This sort of thing has gotten way out of control here. Women here are developing breast cancer right and left, up and down. Everything we eat here has something bad added to it. And if you buy food without the bad stuff you pay twice or three times the price of the bad food. Many other countries are banning our meats due to the hormones and antibiotics given to the animals and I don't blame them. People here are becoming immune to certain antibiotics because we consume these antibiotics daily via our meats. Our government stressed against antibiotic use but farmers are still using them. In the USA all of that bad junk goes straight from the mother to her baby if she breast feeds, unless she is buying the organic foods " only " and she'd have to be very wealthy to do that. I feel women in the US need to eat organic foods the entire time they are pregnant and during breast feeding. That way the breast milk would be healthy. Guest guest
And there are the unknown qualities of breast milk that are not reproduced in formulas because they are - unknown! There really isn't a replacement. Which doesn't mean that formula fed infants won't also thrive, but the real thing has to be the best choice whenever possible. As a footnote, I'm the only one of my sibs with MS, and also the only one not breast fed as an infant.
