We HAVE to use the Prednisone...our son waits until he is feeling SOO bad that he tells us when he needs to take it. Without it, he would be miserable, miss way too much school and not have a sense of normalcy in his life (he has already been " labeled " by the school, but they are helpful). The Prednisone has been a TRUE lifesaver. 99% of the time we still have monthly episodes...only twice has it come back sooner. ph also started swallowing pills at around 3...give them a try. May be a miracle, may not be...for us it has been wonderful. Much better for us to dose him then any other alternative.
