Lymph nodes are in the back of the neck and if they are pea size... that is

normal. If they start feeling like a round like a quarter... they are

enlarged. Lymph nodes COMMONLY enlarge in children.... They commonly enlarge

with episodes too... and usually return to normal size.

My son's lymph nodes in the posterior neck are commonly enlarged. Lymph

nodes are in other areas... like in front of neck and in the groin and under

the arm-pits....

They can enlarge of course with as well as signal infection of some

sort.... MANY MANY reasons... Nothing to alarm anyone!

Just let the pediatrician know... so they can follow up if needed!

Oh, ok...thanks for clearing that up. I guess I have just never felt them

before. It just seemed like yesterday they were really standing out. Maybe

he isn't about to have an episode. Ugh. I hate wishing it would happen but

it would just be nice for it to happen at a consistent time so we can plan

things around it.
