Guest guest Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 perhaps that's the long main story and since the other is only 12 minutes long-they didn't do a write up on it. Guest guest Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3032600/ It says on their site that also coming up is "The unorthodox practice of chelation." Jo Pike Re: Dateline not covering the chelation story and i rushed home just to see it live- arghhhhthey suck Quote
Guest guest Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 Let's not all get bent out of shape- just yet. Chelation is recognized by medical convention as an unorthodox practice for helping autistic children- because orthodoxy does not even know or recognize that mercury toxicity is implicated in the condition to begin with. Let's start with the premise and see where the results take us. Progress almost never comes from convention. Guest guest Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 It ended up as a decent piece (they showed my daughter at the rally!) overall but this new temp head of the AAP needs an awakening. We all need to send him copies of our kids’ mercury tests!!! Idiot. Too bad none of the families really got interviewed. L Just watching it once, I thought it was 80 percent " us " , 20 percent " them " and very well put together. Jim was AWESOME!!!!! Baxter and did a great job too. They used some of my rally footage! have to go watch it again. Quote
Guest guest Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 I can't believe it but I missed it tonight, does anyone know where I can view a clip of the story tonight? Thanks Vicki Quote
Guest guest Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 The AAP is one of the groups actively lobbying states to not pass the thimerosal bills. I'd give up on the AAP ever doing anything healthy for kids. Guest guest Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 The CDC and AAP folks looked like the CRACKPOTS in this piece, inferring that mercury via injection was harmless to children! All in all, the best piece aired since I have been fighting this battle. I loved the fact they mentioned Minamata and Pink Disease to show the history of mercury poisoning in children. I am so grateful to Dr. who came across as very intelligent and knew exactly what he was talking about! I was very impressed with his interview and his great efforts to help his daughter. , I am sure NBC intends to use the footage of Baxter and his recovery in the future. I feel the tide is turning... The TRUTH is on our side! Weed Mother to Lanier on the road to recovery, thanks to chelation!! PS I LOVED The Power of the Truth Rally footage! > > I thought Dr. was great. incredible. calm, believable and put > together. Guest guest Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 Good point ... Isn't it good that the CDC and AAP folks are experts at looking stupid? Kudos to Jim ! > > > > I thought Dr. was great. incredible. calm, believable and > put > > together. Guest guest Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 Yup - and calling all folks to submit " freedom of information access " requests to your state officials where thimerosal bills are being considered, have passed or have failed. We need to see what correspondences are flying between the AAP, CDC, FDA and state officials... If you are interested, email me at brian@... > > > > It ended up as a decent piece (they showed my daughter at the rally!) > > overall but this new temp head of the AAP needs an awakening. Guest guest Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 I thought the piece was done reasonably well. I think NBC is going to be a little more " responsible " on this story from here on out, thanks to the s and thier interest in autism. If I sent my son's toxic metals test no one would be that impressed. We have not had the opportunity to chelate long enough (due to gut issues or other health problems) or haven't found the right agent yet. We've used multiple products with little success in what the labs reveal, we've never pulled much mercury, but we have pulled many other metals. Overall, anecdotally chelation has helped. As far as chelation not helping his own daughter, we never actually heard him say that. Was that the reporter (producer's) bias because she is not " cured " ? Maybe, as with my own son she is doing " better " than she had been. Their are too many factors involved in why one child responds well and one doesn't so well. That's why the research is so important. And it is only a first step that will bring more questions I assume. I think it is great Jim is conducting the research. As he stated if someone else was going to do it he would be happy, but no one else wants too. Also they will report the results no matter what. I have found most parents of autistic children have integrity and say what they mean and mean what they say. Unlike the the interim (who are we going to get on TV to lie for us today-) AAP director and the foreigner at the CDC- Dr. Popovich (excuse me my english is not very good...). Just a few thoughts, > > It ended up as a decent piece (they showed my daughter at the rally!) > overall but this new temp head of the AAP needs an awakening. We all need > to send him copies of our kids' mercury tests!!! Idiot. Too bad none of > the families really got interviewed. :-( > > Quote
