Guest guest Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 Really good! CDC data just reinforced the age/prevalence trend. Earlier I said this was a waste of time and $. I retract that but keep the F word as my adjective describing them :`) > > Hi , > > Is this archived..as I don't see how to get it to work? > > > Quote
Guest guest Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 But it rubber-stamps the intended CDC perception that rates have not been dropping. If you go back and listen to the mmwr audio starting at 13:00 minutes in the entire presentation crumbles under the questioning of the press, with the exception of the first and last person, who obviously has a pro-mercury agenda. Guest guest Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 The data for both studies were collected in 2003-04. Perhaps too soon to expect to see a drop in rates considering when exposures to thimerosal decreased? Guest guest Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 Yes, I have been thinking that since the new report came out. These numbers are lower than the 1:150 and 1:166. they will be trying to show that the decrease after removal of Hg isn’t happening by lowering the incidence rates now. I’d like to see the raw data for children by year of birth. And I still cannot fathom what freaking idiot could justify the stupidity of “parents forgot that their kid was dxd with autism”. The level of idiocy is so high, I can’t even go there. Guest guest Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 With all the data at their disposal they resort to a flimsy survey? CDC has done a wonderful job of misinforming America that mercury was removed in 1999. You do the math. Re: Sallie Bernard on Autism One Radio - Link Really good! Guest guest Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 I think the parents forgot comment is a crafty way to a) make parents look stupid, especially the ones complaining about mercury and give the impression that autism isn't that big of a deal. The idea that kids are Dx at 5 and not 18 months is note worthy too. It is a way of covering up the lower rates in kids born after 2001 by claiming they just have not been Dx yet. Guest guest Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 And in doing so they buy themselves a lot more time. CDC is a dog and pony show. http://www.usatoday.com/news/health/2006-05-04-autism-estimate_x.htm This is the first in a series of autism studies being issued by the Atlanta-based CDC. Future articles will look at autism diagnosis variations across different communities, and at how long it takes for a child to be diagnosed after onset of symptoms. This kind of methodical red tape crapola is unacceptable and an insult to families agonizing to find the truth about what's happened to our children. If you can't see they are milking this cow dry then I feel sorry for you. It's really hard to have any confidence in government when they best they can do is put on blinders and task manage mundane clerical medical formalities. If this epidemic was the result of not giving our children a mythical autism vaccine they'd be all over the issue in a matter of days. And so would the media. Guest guest Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 If you can't see they are milking this cow dry then I feel sorry for you.... Robbie..who are you saying this to? I think we all know this is BS, yet even the data they are using to NOT prove/show thimerosal exposure as increasing the numbers is SHOWING...so they are f***ed....and that is now OUR data, for our side. Of course they're going to drag this out..they're in BIG trouble and what else can they do but continue the horse/pony show? The CDC will NEVER admit to this..but it will come out nonetheless. Remember there is a rally just for this purpose, and the theme... You did the crime, you do the time > > > > Hi , > > > > Is this archived..as I don't see how to get it to work? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > New Messenger with Voice. Guest guest Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 It's not idiocy. It is an abuse of power consistent with corruption and the fact that these people control the information associated with investigating this issue. Guest guest Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 All the more reason why this agency needs to be dismantled and a new agency needs to be put in place with oversight by unbiased individuals. What amazes me is that they acknowledge that cases of full blown autism may be even lower, because parents may have answered " yes " even if the kid had a Dx of AS or PDD. This helps us even more. But what REALLY blows my mind is the fact that they didn't devise a good enough survey to tease out between the 3: Autism, AS and PDD. Are they really that stupid? No, they certainly managed to tease out (and tease out and tease out) the data in the Vertraten study until it finally did " just go away " . I wouldn't be surprised that this was an intentional oversight to inflate the numbers. Are they repeating this study? If they do, I'm sure they are hoping their little " early signs " campaign caught a lot of the mild kids (like my son) who never would have been Dx'd 10 years ago, further bumping the #'s the next go round. Guest guest Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 The data is right there in the chart on p. 483 (p.7 of 28 of the document) at http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/ (download May 5 issue). The kids born after 1992 had significantly higher rates of autism. At the press conference, the CDC pointed out many possible flaws in the survey, because these numbers tighten the noose. > > > > Hi , > > > > Is this archived..as I don't see how to get it to work? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Quote
