Guest guest Posted May 23, 2006 Report Posted May 23, 2006 I really don't understand why he has to have his pants down to urinate. I've never seen that with guys before. W usually just take " it " out and place in the urinal, cup, bottle (heck I've gone in a beer bottle LOL) and go. Does he have no use of his hands at all? I've always peed myself so don't have experience with assistance. Well come to think of it, when I had bronchitis so bad last September, my arms got so weak I couldn't move them. My Mother just held the urinal there in my lap. Thats why I don't understand why he has to have his pants down. I'm turning 49 in June (yikes!!) and am experiencing my own urinating problem after all these years. I can no longer push down the front of my zipper, extract myself, place in receptacle, hold everything in place and go. I have had to modify the way I go to continue to do it independently. This may help your son go at school or even by himself. I push my zipper, open of course, way down between my legs. Boxers included. This way I am always partially exposed and just push the urinal up against myself. This is working so far, but it too is becoming difficult. The only problem with this method is one has to be constantly aware of your clothles so nothin shows. I wear long shirts now, and have to continually check and make sure everythings covered. Also if I know I'm not going to go for awhile I will shove my shirt down between my legs too, so I'm not constantly adjusting and fidgiting. Having a tummy helps too. Embarrassing and a pain, but a small price for independence. Only one embarrassment in 3 years (my poor sister who I probably aged LOL), so not too bad. I'd be interested to know how the other guys go too, maybe I could benefit. Doug Side question here: Why do men have such a problem helping another man go to the bathroom? I've dropped several hints to male relatives and male friends, that I may need help in a emergency situation. Such a look of abhorrance and revulsion!! Some guys are even embarrassed to go into the stall with me for fear someone might see them. I know its probably the whole gay stigma thing but geez! Oh, some will say " As long as I don't have to touch anything " , Hello, thats what I need help with! Not a audience! Now when woman all go together its like a social event in there right LOL?? Guess you ladies have fewer hangups. Doug Quote
