joystick, wheelchair issues

I have an Invacare chair, got it back in April '03 and have just started

using it. At first we thought the joystick just needed to be recalibrated

because the MKIV Display gave that sort of error message. Someone here said

they

have had countless issues with their mini joystick - does this sound like a

similar issue or does it seem more complex, maybe the wiring? I'm just so

annoyed. Finally at 27, a week of freedom and now the chair's malfunctioning.
