But to never discuss anything outside of our SMA bubble here is going to drive us nuts. I know it can depress the hell out of me sometimes. Other issues in the world affect us just as much, because, in case it slips our minds sometimes, we are intelligent people. Let me stress this, " We are all People! " Just my little opinion. (My Blog: http://360./pink-tulipameritech (DOT) net) High School, Chess Club, Chirping Birds I somehow feel like I've been transported back to High School 20 years ago, sitting in on a chess club meeting, when one member mentions backgammon and is practically burned at the stake... One word - Jamaica Usage - Jamaican me crazy Daily living - with or without SMA - involves issues of society & politics, religion (or not), science, sex, etc. Obviously the focus of a group such as this is not/should not be on debating Creation v. Evolution, God versus Science or even absolutely nothing, Pro-Choice vs. Pro-Life, etc. But, guess what - these issues - like all issues - affect the daily lives of people in this group from time to time. To suggest otherwise is ludicrous. Occasionally, topics will shift from the main focus in any group - and they absolutely should every now and then. Send me to the principles office if I am out of line here, please, I'll go voluntarilly. Here's something completely off topic - though I personally find it to be outstanding - my son Bryce - age 5, told me a new joke just the other day - and it goes like this: What do ducks like to eat? .... .... .... .... .... Quackers. A FEW RULES * The list members come from many backgrounds, ages and beliefs So all members most be tolerant and respectful to all members. * Some adult language and topics (like sexual health, swearing..) may occur occasionally in emails. Over use of inappropriate language will not be allowed. If your under 16 ask your parents/gaurdian before you join the list. * No SPAMMING or sending numerous emails unrelated to the topics of spinal muscular atrophy, health, and the daily issues of the disabled.
