Are you and the family planning to attend the FSMA Family and Professional

Conference here in Schaumburg, Illinois June 18th thru 20th? Let me know as

I'd

love to convince you to join me on one of the speaker panels.

We had considered it, but we're a little concerned with traveling alone with

a then 9 month old. ;) Can you tell me more about it, expenses, etc? Who

else from this list is going? I know h is! =)

Amy O. and Company,

Traveling with a youngster shouldn't be too bad. You're coming from NY,

right? We'll have both kids with us, a 4 1/2 year old and soon-to-be newborn,

but

we also live in the area where the Conference is being held this year. The

hotel can be a bit pricey, however I know FSMA has some grants available to help

cover costs for those who apply early. Regardless, to help you out, we'd be

thrilled to have you stay with us to eliminate hotel costs. I doubt that we'll

be

staying at the hotel considering the two girls will be with us.

Here's a link pertaining to the Conference... 2004 Families of SMA Conference

Thursday night is usually a meet-and-greet with the families and some

professionals. Lecture sessions typically begin and run all day Friday, and

Friday

night is a dinner by invitation only with doctors/professionals/researchers.

Saturday continues with lecture sessions all day, and that evening is a dinner

banquet, silent auction, and carnival. Sunday morning the conference concludes

with an awards breakfast.
