Guest guest Posted August 18, 2004 Report Share Posted August 18, 2004 we are ok, the eye of the strom went right through downtown Orlando and we are only a few miles off to the east of them....we have LOTS of tree damage, tree dabris, power lines just got back up, phones down, 2 people died in the county next to us.......it still could have been much worse.......the scarriest part was seeing the tornados...... Guest guest Posted August 18, 2004 Report Share Posted August 18, 2004 Hey I'm here, Still not feeling 100% from my bout w/ pneumonia. The storm did a lot of damage here in Polk County, but no damage to our house. Lots of power outages, the kids had to stay out of school all this week due to schools being used as shelters. I had to be evacuated to the hospital just in case we lost power. They provided us w/ a big comfy room on pediatrics and my parents and I stayed there til morning. Take care everybody!
