why is it in CA u can pay family to be ur PA? my mom is always making me

feel guilty when she has to care for me if an aide or nurse calls out. she

always wants me to pay her. and when i say but u r my mother she replies 25 yr

olds shouldnt need their mom to wipe their ass. i know way harsh, but thats my

mom...oh and lauren how will u keep ur parents insurance if you move out

independently? or r they just claimimg u r at school? i am assuming ur parents

have claimed u as a dependent so u can recieve benefits after the cut off age

regardless if in school.

Parents can get paid in my state too.... but you can hire outside help or use

both...

Our workers get paid for hours worked after timesheets are turned in and get

checks about twice a month, can recieve insuarance if work fulltime.

in california, family members can provide in-home supportive services under

the " IHSS Residual Program " . The funds are from state taxes, not the federal

medicaid waiver, so have less restrictions. under this program recipients may

also receive their workers' pay (minus sdi, medicare & fica) in advance at the

beginning of the month, pay their workers as they work, and then submit the

timesheet at the end of the month. this cannot be done with federal funds,

because the federal government does not pay until the work is done.
