Guest guest
I have used Wheelchair Getaways. They're all over the US, and the price varies depending on where. It was $110/day with mileage charge after the 1st 500 miles in CA. I believe it's cheaper elsewhere. The van was in very good shape. One time they lost my reservation, though, and no vans available. I offered a friend with a chair van $55/day and filled the tank and washed the van on return. Thanks! > Tom A couple years ago when we went to visit my husband's mom in the San Fran area, we rented a van from Wheelchair-Getaways. It was a pretty nice kneeling ramp van, but it had a big advestisement on the window that looked kind of silly. It was also very expensive at about $100 a day. But they did meet you at the airport with it and we were able to drop it off at the airport just like any other rental car. Another time we rented a 'regular' van for a trip to OK, and asked the company to remove the middle bench seat. We then got in and out of the van with my folding 12' aluminium ramp. It was obviously cheaper. -- Jenn Malatesta -------------- My web page: http://www.isoc.net/brokeninside/nekrosys/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Philo of andria: " Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a great battle.
