I have BC/BS and when I consulted Boachie for a second opinion I had

no trouble recovering the full "out of network" expense of seeing

him...of course I had to "carry" the full bill for about a month until

reimbursement

I hate to sound totally stupid, but what do you mean by saying that you "carried" the bill? Don't they make you pay at the time of service? If they'd wait for ME to get the money from the insurance, perhaps I could see him.

Blessings,

Carla Kay

Carla,

That is what I meant...I had to carry the charges myself until the

reimbusement went through...about 5 weeks later...Unfortunately they

won't wait for payment. They will tell you at the time of the

appointment about how much to expect the charge to be. I didn't need

any new films and as I recall the consult was about $500.00. If is

saves you hotel bills and other travel expenses maybe it is possible

to charge his fee to a credit card and then pay off after the

insurance company reimburses? Cam

p.s. if it is possible when you reply from the digest could you try

to change the subject line? I think a lot of folks skim the posts and

it is impossible for them to tell what your subject is!...thanks
