Guest guest
, I would also like the information on School Problems. Do we request it here or e-mail you personally? What is the list you refer to? Is there one each week on a different topic? I would also like to congratulate Gail and on 's victory-that's great! Guest guest
Hi Judi, that test was a riot!! I'm going to forward it to my multiples club newsletter editor to publish! It's too true (especially the Lego/carpet tack thing!). Debbie, your mother in law sounds a lot like mine. Her glass is half empty. She sighs and shakes her head at everything, even the good stuff. She is a downer to be with. I try to cut her slack because of unhappiness in her life but she will never be happy. She was/is a lousy mother, a rotten mother in law but my children love her and they have a great relationship. She finally found something to be good at so I try to concentrate on that. But it's hard. You seem to have a great, positive attitude, and will think of you the next time I see or talk to my MIL and start to roll my eyes! love debbi mom to Logan (6 soon!) Guest guest
Hey Max just popped up at my door couple years ago....maybe he was fixed I don't know but my guess is he was cause he never wanders to far from home. I have heard so much good things about Gretchen and s chiropractors that I am wondering if maybe me and the hubby had a bad Dr. with not much experience in what he was doing.....He really left a sour taste in our mouths but if they helped you girls that much I would be almost willing to try another only because I know for evry quack there is a decent good Dr. out there. I don't want to totally give up but my hubby coudn't hardly turn his neck for a week after his visit and my legs still hurt maybe more than before. How would a person go about finding a really good one? Any advice?

Guest guest
Hello everyone, I am new to this board and I haven't tried LL just yet- I'm still checking it out. I've been doing BF for 8 weeks now and eventhough I love how I feel, I'm losing inches very slowly. Tara told me about LL and I will most likely be making my purchase on Monday Some of the things that I have read about LL I relate to a lot more. Anyway...my question is...where do I find the before and after pictures that everyone is talking about? I would love to see 'em! Thanks,
Guest guest
Hi , Like you I was doing BF, maybe you remember me " TIJ " from the other board. What I have discovered since being on LL is having " FASTER " results. I couldn't imagine it working so well. Now I understand BF works for some, because the proof is in their comments on the board. But for me, what it took BF to accomplish for me in 4 weeks, I was seeing these measurements and results in 7 days with LL! 7 days!!! I was amazed and now a convert. I continue to see results and subtle changes, definition to my body. It is happening so much quicker for me. I am a " pear " shape person and my problem areas are my hips, legs and thighs. I am getting a real " lift " up from LL and my body is responding much better with LL. I think its " to each her/his own " as the case may be. What works for some, may not be as helpful to another. Nothing against the " other guys " ...but I feel I have come home to something that works for me. I wish you all the success possible. For pictures: If you clic on the file (to your left) and then " Pictures of Listers " you will get photos. Also look at Karma's and 's in the threads by clicking on their emails. Again, the best of intentions for great success to you! Tij > Hello everyone, > > I am new to this board and I haven't tried LL just yet- I'm still checking it > out. Guest guest
Hi O's! I'm interested to know how long other members have been on this eating plan and if everyone's still feeling good on it... I've been on since July and definitely feel more energized. Still have nasal issues, and stomach queeziness (acid reflux?) and have to do more research on the teas,, haven't been able to find Fenugreek yet. Think it's important to use healthy external products and detergents... (if anyone ever wants Shaklee items, I'm a distributor!),,, I'd stay away from any coconut, aloe, etc. in shampoos.. esp. if 60% gets absorbed,,, I don't want any bad lectins in my head, do you?? here's a good item to buy: Terra Stix (medley of exotic vegetables),,, they are like potato stix but they are a sweet potato and taro mix. (hope Taro's ok)... anyway they are very good,,, + a great topping on salads! Enjoy the day,, /Seattle

Think it's important to use healthy If you are ever in Renton they have Fenegreek tea in Minklers. I bought some there in the spring as it is very good for diabetics-reduces sugar levels. It takes some getting used to but is not that bad. Good luck on your search. (I only know south Seattle a little bit.)
Guest guest
Fenugreek also comes in capsules - if you can find a herb i believe that it is a common ingredient in Italian or Spanish (not mexican) food used like basil or something but I don't have any recipes for it. Any HFS should carry it and there are some websites that carry it. Guest guest
as far as i know and from my own experience, acid reflux doesn't cause queeziness ...it is just plain painful in the chest and throat area... if you have a queezy stomach, chances are it's not acid reflux. sparrow Re: Digest Number 357 > stomach queeziness (acid reflux?) and have to do more research on the teas,, > haven't been able to find Fenugreek yet. Guest guest
Hi , Sounds like my daugther had the same problem with her stomach, I took her to the doctor, and they couldn't find anything wronge, But she was queezy and missed alot of school over this. I go to a herb store, and they do Reflexology and Iridology, to name a few . I had they them check her eyes, she couldn't see anything wronge, she said sometimes the stomach, gets pushed up under the diaphragm, it can cause the same symtoms as acid reflux. They muscle tested her stomach and her colon and she was weak, so they pulled her stomach down. sounds weird, but she hasn't complained any more about her stomach, check around your area, maybe you can find someone to help you, Good luck , Debbie in Ca. Guest guest
Hi All, Gosh, I was suffering from withdrawal, no MGB news for a couple of days. What was wrong with the server, I wonder? , Dr. R is doing some surgeries, he's doing the third hernia repair for me tomorrow, Wednesday. The blasted hernia isn't from the MGB, but rather a hysterectomy I had 3 years ago. Any way, I'm having a tummy tuck too at the same time with Dr. Gianopolis. I've appreciated the other posts re such surgeries, nice to know a little about what to expect. Think nice thought for me tomorrow, in Chapel Hill MGB 3-6-00 304-170 I was stuck for almost four months, losing again for a grand total of 134! Guest guest
Hi Trish I'm in Iceland. It has been a good summer. I haven't lost a lot of weight but a little though. I've gone camping a few time, horseback riding, river rafting and all kinds of stuff that I haven't done before. I've met few cute guys nothing serious, just for the fun of it. I was interviewed by a magazine here in Iceland regarding the MGB it is like LIFE it was 6 pages with 6 pictures. I've gotten a lots of comment regarding the article everything from being brave and courageous too good looking etc. etc. Fanney has been quite busy as two of her friends from USA came for a visit. Not at the same time, one stayed for a month and is coming back in September and the other for a week. She also got 's two middle girls for a week and a half, and then Palli came with the 3 youngest one for visit over a weekend, so she has been quite busy cooking and cleaning. The girls are growing up really nice and Palli is very good father. I think it is getting easier for him now at least he is able to spare the girls for a few days at the time compare before he didn't want to let them out of his sight. Tell me what is happening in Durham, is Dr. R. doing surgery again ? Are you going to have the picnic ? When will it be ? Guest guest
Wow, it's my first time on this forum, and I'm hearing such different reviews and things on different CI's. I've been told that the Clarion is actually very bad, and that the best is the Nucleus. But right now I see that a lot of ppl are having Nucleus breakdowns..so which is actually better? I've also heard that depending on what state you're in, some use Nucleus more (like in NY) and others have more Clarions somewhere else. Can any of you give me your feeling on these opinions/feedbacks? I'm having surgery on May 21st and havne't decided on the brand yet. It's all very confusing, trying to decide what I want for something that is going to be with me for the rest of my life. I don't want to go through re-implants if something goes wrong. I really admire the courage of those ppl who have to go through them, because ultimately, it's not a choice we have if something like this breaks down.. Good luck to everyone in each and every way!SandyPS. some feedback would be gratefully appreciated!
Guest guest
Hello Sandy, Nice to have you on the forum here. It's a great place to gather information and tofind support for the ci journey. You are correct in that there are 3 different brands. The thing about comparison is that all 3 brands work, all 3 brands will have their good points and not so good points. all 3 brands will have their share of breakdowns. Depending on which forum you are on will depend on how much you hear about the various implants. This forum does have users from all 3 groups, and while the vast majority do have the Nucleus on here, we don't compare brands.. we can't. No one of us can tell you how the next person hears..even if we have the same brand.. All we can do is tell of our individual experiences with our own implant. There are star users from all groups.. These are the people who have done well right from the start and were able to understand speech well from the time they were activated. There are also users from all 3 groups who have had to struggle to grasp the understanding of sound, and all three groups also have those who fall somewhere in between. If I were you, I'd suggest meeting with some ci users if at all possible.. do a little research and base your decision on what will work best for you. Each and every one of us goes into the ci surgery not knowing if we will ever have a breakdown and need to be reimplanted. I can speak for some members in my family.. there are 4 of us Nucleus users.. but Mother has had her implant for 11 years and never had an internal breakdown. I've had my implant for about a year and a half and never had any breakdowns yet.. even the external processor survived a dunk in the toilet..LOL We all do very well with understanding speech, using the phone etc. except for my mother who never really got into practicing using the telephone.. she's just never been a phone person for some reason, but she does have quality hearing for conversing with all the family. This was a lady who had no usable hearing for over 20 years and depended on written notes prior to her implant.. she struggled to read lips as she had vision problems. I'm sure people will tell you of their experiences with their own implants as well. You really can't go wrong as long as you're happy with your choice. Please feel free to email me either privately or on the forum if I can help you out further. What is your hearing history? Hope this helps some. Guest guest
Hello-- I had a class, and it seems to be the same as usual confidentiality rules, except moreso. You have to give a statement to each client explaining their privacy rights. You not only can't say that somebody is your client, you also can't confirm that they aren't. I may be wrong, but I think you can't fax medical records. You can't let people see your appointment book, or lay it within sight of people who with good eyes could read from it. Most of it is what we knew anyway, except we have to be sure to be very careful to do it. Guest guest
Hi Don, No, I am careful not to spend too much time on my feet. The achilles tendon on both feet have been really sore and swollen the last few weeks. There could be multiple reasons, probably the RA, but after reading the Edgar Cayce site on peanut oil, I am rubbing some in my feet tonight. It that doesn't work, I may try the torture you suggested. Maybe you should try peanut oil instead? Hi , What is wrong with your feet that the tendons are so sore? Too much time on your feet right? And on concrete too right? I believe that is what I recall. If that is the case then fill your tub about 1/4 full of the coldest water you can possibly get. Dump several bags of ice into it if you have to. Then stick your feet into that cold water and keep them there until they feel numb. It will hurt like holy bejeezus. Crying hurt even. After they go numb, gingerly remove from the ice bath, dry and let them warm up all on their lonesome without any heating pads, flame throwers etc. When you get feeling back into your feet you will seriously think that you have clouds stuck onto the ends of your legs. I have been doing this for over 20 years now and it has continually amazed me every time. It works and it works very well. Getting through it can be tough at times but it is well worth it from my perspective. Just a thought. If this doesn't apply to your situation then just dismiss it. Peace be with you . -- Peace, love and light, Don Quai

Something about them.... hmmmm.... might be just my imagination but when I do this it seems to suck the negative energy right out of my feet, does this make sense? This is how I view it. Anyway, I always feel lighter and much better afterwards and my feet feel so much better as well.
