I am fairly new to making those fizzy bath bomb things. Recently I made a batch

using olive oil and no other liquid (except fragrance). They looked fine the

first day but then they started cracking, Anyone have any experience with this,

or have an awesome recipe for them? I used citric acid, epsom salts, baking

soda and corn starch. Thanks. Jan

I've found that you need to use a water based liquid in them for them to

stay hard. It's hard to say how much, a bit spritzed on at a time until the

consistency is " right " and clumpy. I just use baking soda, citric acid and

cornstarch (just the solids) in mine. They can be a pain in the butt to get

the hang of though.

Hi Jan,

My recipe calls for witch hazel to be sprayed on the mixture before forming

the bombs. Did you pack them really, really tight? That can make a

difference too ;o)
