Guest guest
Oh Dana, I wish I could have witnessed the nose piercing revival! Just thinking about that is going to keep me going all evening! Poor Annie has what someone else on this list called "family dysmorphic disorder", and she is only 8. I cringe to think how life around here will be when she is 12. She is embarassed by me because a) I don't wear "flares" and apparently wearing flares, bellbottoms and hiphuggers in the 70s doesn't count, and I don't wear make-up and c) I'm getting gray hairs. She is embarassed by her dad because a) he has a beard *GROSSSSS* and '"noone else's dad plays guitar and lap steel and mandolin and sings old rock n' roll songs! Everyone else's dad is just NORMAL". It's tragic. She barely survived the embarassment of having me volunteer in her classroom last year. This year I'll volunteer in my son's classroom - he still thinks the sun revolves me. I'm going to go tell Annie that I'm thinking about piercing my nose. Gotta see the reaction.
