Guest guest Posted August 3, 2001 Report Share Posted August 3, 2001 - is my current OCD son who has a twin, . When they were toddlers 2-3 y/o, had OCD (it eventually disappeared)! He was sort of similar to your child only I did " physical " actions wrong not " verbal " responses. He'd call me to come downstairs. Well, he'd want me to come down the stairs and walk across the room " a certain way/direction " and if I did any part of it wrong, those little feet would stamp and he would cry and tell me to do it over; actually wanting me to go back to the entrance of the room and come in all over again the " right " way. Another thing he did was where they used to lay on some of their favorite blankets/throws on the floor while watching TV. Well, he'd spread out the blanket and smooth it out and smooth it out AND smooth it out because he COULDN'T have a wrinkle in it and he'd want MY help! And he'd actually cry if he couldn't get it perfectly smooth. I'd say, well, , it's going to GET wrinkles in it when you lay on it; but that did no good, he'd have to have it perfectly smooth before he'd lay down on it; lots of tears! Luckily, he eventually quit those behaviors. But at the time I thought I would go CRAZY!! > My son has major issues with that " just right feeling " .
