Guest guest
Hi fellow NPrs. Kind Greetings I have been organising my studio quietly these last days... still lots to do but making headway.... and as I am doing I occasionally stop to stick my nose into a tincture that is ageing or a blend that I am working on..... such olfactory delight with the botanicals. What was a complete surprise and was not expecting it and tied in with Lynn's post Tuesday on agrestic odours... last year I had collected from a semi- ancient woodland some leaf mould and thought I would have a go.... it is about a year old now... and I thought about 6 months ago that nothing was happening...just some old brown mulched leaves mixed in with alcohol which I nearly threw away ... !! Well I unscrewed the lid.... and OMG there is definately the signs of an earthy odour starting to emanate from the tincure.... thrilled! .... When the weather is a little more clement I shall go up again and replenish the tincture with fresh after carefully draining the old stuff from it..... There is signs of promise here..... goes to show.......time and slow creation works its miracles.
