Alcohol and denaturants

Hi all

I've seen the recent discussion on this and have read the archives,

but as raising this again as there were conflicting views and the

government agencies haven't been overly helpful!

1. Does the alcohol in perfume for sale to the public need to be

denatured?

2. If the alcohol needs to be denatured, does the fragrance solution

count as a denaturant, or do we have to use an approved denaturant?

3. Of we need to use an approved denaturant other than fragrance

solution, what would you recommend (trying to keep products natural!)?

4. If we use undenatured alcohol, can you get permits to avoid paying

tax/duty/excise, or is tax/duty/excise payable?

Many thanks for any responses.

Best Regards

Will
